Since the central message of Semihandmade is "handmade craftsmanship," it was important to develop a website that gave the shopper creative control while not feeling overwhelmed. With an interior design-type website, the main challenge was to build pages showcasing the robust catalog of design options while keeping the process simple and direct. Customers would also need a personal shopping experience to build their own ideal orders, and a way to finance these orders to not feel limited by a price tag.
